They accidentally made Garfield Gay in a retro game

Is Garfield… gay?! Well, according to one massive retro gaming blunder, he and Odie might just be an official couple! 🏳️‍🌈🐱

Back in the early 90s, developer Kemco faced a major licensing nightmare with their Game Boy title Mickey Mouse IV. Depending on where you lived, you got a completely different game! In North America, it was reskinned into The Real Ghostbusters, but in Europe, it became Garfield Labyrinth.

The problem? The developers got incredibly lazy with the European ending. Instead of making a new cutscene, they literally just pasted Garfield and Odie’s sprites directly over the original animation of Mickey and Minnie Mouse holding hands—complete with a giant blossoming heart in the background! ❤️🤦‍♂️
