Practicing the commute to work tomorrow 😎 – Forza Horizon 6 – 1st Festival qualification race

It’s been a while since I regularly commuted to work – what better way to practice safe driving then by putting the pedal to the metal in Forza Horizon 6 – great Japanese setting. Love this game. Installed and played fine on Steamdeck without a hiccup. Yet my Windows 11 machine first complained about outdated video drivers, than about gaming services not being valid and the suggestion to update them – no idea where to do so. But I managed to download the required services manually from the Microsoft store. You’d think for a Microsoft Windows game release this would be very very automatic? Well it is not. I reckon the gaming services are on so many devices these days that the distributor / installer for this game actually assumed these to be on all Windows systems.

Linux was more compatible running this game than Microsoft in my experience.
