Virtua Racing, is a Formula One racing video game developed by Sega AM2 and released for arcades in 1992. Virtua Racing originally was a proof-of-concept application for exercising a new 3D graphics platform under development, the “Model 1”.
This game is part of the Sega Ages series and it has been released on the Nintendo Switch (digital only). This game has been developed by M2 – it features 60fps and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. When it was released the game featured online multiplayer and online highscore and gameplay replay saving. That will last for as long as the servers will be up.
Offline 2 player multiplayer is supported. Sadly this game is digital download only, so it ranks in the category fun but disposable gaming.
