[AMSTRAD CPC] Rescue On Fractalus! – Longplay & Review
Longplay and review for “Rescue On Fractalus!” on the Amstrad CPC!
It’s time to take a look an important piece of gaming history! Rescue On Fractalus was one of the first games from George Lucas’s ‘Lucasfilm Games’ and yes it also had his involvement in the development of the game! It’s also notable for it’s use of fractal graphics and gaming’s first and most memorable ‘jump scare’! Originally for the Atari range of computers and 5200 console – 2 years later in 1986 this arrived on the Amstrad.
So let’s find out how good the conversion is and how well the Amstrad can handle fractal mathematics as we dive into one of my longest longplays!!
In this longplay I’m skipping forward levels as much as the game will allow – so we’re starting at level 16, which is the most it will allow you to jump to at the start. Then the game will allow you to jump forward 4 levels at a time. I’ve read that the Atari home computer version has 30 levels… so let’s reach that and see what happens!!
