Mr. Rogers is getting his very own movie called “You Are My Friend” and it will star Tom Hanks as the iconic Mr. Rogers.

The plot of the movie is based on a real life friendship between journalist Tom Junod and Fred Rogers

It will likely be a telling of how this cynical journalist came to love and admire Mr. Rogers after having to write a article about Fred Rogers and his show Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was started way back in 1968 and did not end until 2001 and there were over 886 episodes in all.

Mr. Rogers died in 2003 of stomach cancer, but his memory lives on and this movie will serve to remind the millions of people around the world that watched his show as a kid, just how important he was to all of us.

All the 90s kids can rejoice! There’s finally an announcement for a Pikachu Live-Action Movie called Detective Pikachu. This ones been a long time coming.

The movies been been greenlit, and is they have already started production.

This live-action movie is based on the 2016 game Great Detective Pikachu, and according to Kotaku.com, its suppose to hit theaters on May 10, 2019.

Its being shot in London, and these pictures show the RYME City Police Department.

RYME CITY is the setting of the Great Detective Pikachu game, so they are sticking with much of the details from the game for the movie.

Detective Pikachu is going to star Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu and Justice Smith, who also played in the movie GET OUT, was a kid that needs Pikachu’s help in finding his missing father.

Also, Just yesterday, Nickelodeon released some pictures of what the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are going to look like for the latest version of the animated series called Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

From the pictures, and the bio information about the turtles, they are going to have updated weapons, each turtle is a different type, and from these pictures, they look nothing like the Teenage Turtles that we all grew up with in the 80s and 90s.

And the biggest change is that Raphael is now the leader of the Turtles.

I did read that the villain Baron Draxum will be voiced by John Cena, but I’d like to know if Shredder is going to be in this new show and what he looks like as well.

The new 26 Episode show: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will debut sometime later this year on Nickelodeon.

And for the Retro Music Theater Fans, Stephen Spielberg is remaking the 1961 movie WestSide Story. It won 11 Academy Awards and is considered one of the greatest movies of all time.

If anyone could make a great remake of this classic its him. My only concern is that Spielberg has also announced that his is going to be working on the movie Indiana Jones 5 during the same time.

So, im hoping that the Indiy movie doesn’t suffer from him trying to take on too much. Guess we will see – but I am hugely excited for both movies.

Oh! That Reminds me! The new Star Wars movie SOLO comes out with its first trailer next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
