Electric Adventures, The Games – Gold Rush

This is the 27th video in a new series where I am going to highlight each of my classic games I wrote for both the original Spectravideo and MSX computers.
In this video we move onto the 1st game on Program Pack X and my attempt to make a pixel perfect platform game like Manic Minor, called Gold Rush.

This is pretty decent size program, with ten different levels and of course a quite hard level of difficulty. One of my first programs to use some tile shapes in addition to the built in drawing routines i.e. I was starting to get a better understanding of the underlying capabilities of the graphics chip.
